Sectors Hospitality and accommodation

Marketing for restaurants and cafés.

Your guest looks for somewhere to eat tonight. They pick the place they can see.

01 How your guest searches

How your guest looks for a restaurant.

Your guest types “restaurant near me”. Two other places are above you. Not because they cook better, but because of these four things.

  1. 01 No photos of your own. Your guest can't see your dining room, or a single plate from your kitchen.
  2. 02 No video. Your guest wants to see where they'll sit before they book.
  3. 03 Facebook has gone quiet. Your last post is from 2023. Is that place still open?
  4. 04 Not found. Not in Google and not in ChatGPT.

02 What we see in hospitality

4 things we see in hospitality.

From the websites we built for restaurants and cafés, such as De Garre's.

  1. 01

Your guest reads the reviews first.

Before your guest books, they look at the stars and the latest reviews. A place with no recent review looks closed.

A review from this week says: this place is alive.

  2. 02

If they can't book, they go elsewhere.

Your guest wants a table on Friday evening. They call during service and nobody answers. So they book where they can do it online.

On your website your guest books in one click, or calls the right number straight away.

  3. 03

Your menu online is from last year.

Your guest wants to know what they can eat and what it costs. If there's an old menu online, they choose somewhere else.

We keep your menu and your opening hours up to date online.

  4. 04

A full house brings in guests.

A packed dining room, a beer being pulled. Whoever sees that wants to be there. A logo doesn't do that.

We film that, in your own place.

In all, 132 tables a year. Every table above that is yours.

How we work it out
  1. What Groei costs, on average a year. 11 × €899 in year 1 (the first month is free), 12 × €649 in year 2 and 12 × €499 from year 3, divided by 3: €7,888.
  2. What a table brings you. What you keep from one table, after food, drink and staff: here €60. You enter your own figure in the calculator.
  3. The division. €7,888 ÷ €60 = 131.5. Rounded up: with 132 tables a year, Groei has paid for itself, that's 2 to 3 tables per week. Everything above that is profit.

Example with €60 per table. This is an example, not a promise: what it comes to for you, we work out together.

06 Questions

What restaurants and cafés ask us.

Your question isn't here? Call us.

0800 7 65 63

Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 17:30.

We don't take reservations online. Is this still for us?

Yes. Your guest mainly wants to know whether you're open, what's on the menu and how to reach you. That's on your website and in Google, with one tap to call.

What do I do with a bad review?

Reply, briefly and kindly. People who read the reviews mostly look at how you respond.

My rooms are already on Booking.com. Why have my own website?

On Booking.com you're next to a hundred other rooms, and you pay for every booking. Guests who find you through your own website book directly with you.

What does it cost exactly?

Zichtbaar costs €499 a month in year 1, Groei €899 and Vol Gas €1,599. Your price drops every year. There is no set-up fee, and your price is never indexed. All prices exclude VAT.

See the three plans or work it out.

How long before I'm online?

Twelve weeks. In that time we ask for 1 hour at the start, and you check everything once. We do the rest.

How the twelve weeks go.

Does a place down the road cook worse, but show it better? You won't lose another guest to them.
